Vandivier Homes creates a small number of thoughtfully designed custom and speculative homes each year for clients who value craftsmanship, natural light, flow, and trust in the process. We are intentionally hands-on, design-driven, and selective about the projects we take on.

We build a limited number of homes each year by design.

That allows us to stay closely involved in every decision — from floor plan and flow to finishes, sightlines, and how the home feels when you walk through the front door.

Our clients come to us because they value thoughtful design, clear communication, and trust. We are not a volume builder, and we’re not a fit for projects driven by shortcuts or constant second-guessing.

The best projects happen when clients appreciate what we bring to the table and give us the freedom to do our best work.

A Collaborative Approach

Before becoming a home builder, Kevin Vandivier spent years working as a professional photojournalist and architectural photographer, shooting at the highest levels for organizations such as National Geographic Society, LIFE, and the Smithsonian. That background shaped a trained eye for light, proportion, composition, and detail — an eye that now informs every home Vandivier Homes builds.

Building homes became a natural extension of that work: moving from documenting great design to creating it. Vandivier Homes approaches each project with the same discipline — paying attention to how spaces relate, how materials work together, and how a home feels as a whole, not just as a collection of features.

A defining part of the process is the partnership with Leslie Vandivier. With a lifelong background in interior design and decades of experience as a real estate broker, Leslie plays a central role in shaping floor plans, flow, and interior finishes. Her ability to see how a home will live — and how it will endure — has become the quiet advantage behind the success of Vandivier Homes.
